Kelly Caron Designs was founded in 2015 around a unique studio model that has allowed it to grow and thrive, evolving alongside the South Carolina Lowcountry it calls home. At the time, a new sophistication was beginning to grow in this coastal enclave, and Kelly’s singular aesthetic and informed sense of style were the perfect catalysts to fuel that growth.

It was a matter of being in the right place at the right time. The Lowcountry was waiting for transformation, and Kelly’s blend of artistic vision and business savvy made her ideally suited to lead the way.

Through the lens of her art, classic Lowcountry lines and natural textures were reinvigorated with a modern coastal motif. Incorporating natural elements of wood and tabby into a color pallet that mimicked the rich maritime forests and cresting waters that surround the Lowcountry, she lent her magic to residential and commercial projects across the region. Over time, what became known colloquially as “The Kelly Caron look” became the de facto form of luxury as new homeowners flocked to the area in search of serene coastal views and laid-back Southern elegance.

Through the lens of her business acumen, Kelly Caron design became the centerpiece of a new model of boutique design. She expanded her stable of designers, giving each a chance to put their own mark on the firm’s aesthetic. She sought out collaboration from artisans across the Lowcountry, expanding into lighting, clothing and furniture. And she made the expansion official in 2022 with the launch of Kelly Caron CURATED – a collection of apparel and home accessories curated with her brilliant designs in mind.
