INSTALLATION SENSATION IN WESTFIELD, NJ
Designer Shell Neely unveiled another jewel in her project portfolio. The Westfield, New Jersey, home is a tale of vibrant palette, thoughtfully layered finishes and spectacular modern lighting. During her recent installation, our color muse captured snapshot glimpses.
She notes the wall coverings and fabrics are design highlights, including the Schumacher pattern “Citrus Garden“ which is featured on the chairs of the breakfast room, pictured here. Shell adds, “the ceiling of this room will soon be wallpapered with Citrus Garden. It’s a nostalgic selection by the client, since she had the same wall covering in her previous home and loved it so much that she wanted to bring it to New Jersey.”
The Baker chairs in the breakfast room are indoor-outdoor velvet so Shell advises the plush fabric is not only beautiful but washable (even with bleach!). Just another example of the intuitive custom touches that are the unique signature of Shell Neely.
